PADI Open Water Diver Certification Course
Your open water diving adventures begin with this certification course. It provides the foundational knowledge and skills required for recreational diving. It’s also the basic certification required to progress to PADI Advanced and PADI Specialty Courses. This three- or four-day course includes classroom and pool instruction followed by four open water dives.
Divers 15 years old and above can get the PADI Open Water Diver Certification. Divers 12 to 14 years old will receive the PADI Jr. Open Water Diver Certification. Divers 10- and 11-years-old will receive the PADI Restricted Jr. Open Water Certification. In all cases, the course content and performance requirements are the same.

Students can optimize their time in the classroom portion of the course if they review supplied materials before arriving. We encourage them to read the literature, complete the knowledge reviews, and watch the video. We don't provide books for the class but do offer instruction for the use of tanks, weights, masks, fins, snorkel, BCD, regulator, and wetsuit, plus two dive trips (4 dives) and the PADI diving certification card. This course is $575 per student.

Scuba Review & Refresher Course
If you’re a certified diver looking to refresh your skills, this one-day course is for you. All you need is a scuba certification and to be at least ten years old. Firstly, you’ll review the safety information learned during your initial training, and then we’ll head to confined water to practice some of the fundamental scuba skills. Your day will end with two supervised open water dives on the reef.
This course is $310 per student and includes classroom and pool sessions. We also charge an additional $115 for our two-tank reef dive plus equipment.

PADI Open Water Referral Dives
An Open Water Diver Referral permits you to complete your Open Water Diver Certification during your stay on Grand Bahama Island. You will need a referral letter and completed logbook pages from your PADI instructor that verifies your classroom and pool training. The course involves satisfactory skill assessment and four open water dives.

PADI Online eLearner Course
Sunn Odyssey Divers also offers an online scuba diving course. Students can pay by credit card through PADI'S website and print out your scores to bring with you to our facility. You must then come to our facility to complete your pool work and four open water dives in two afternoons.

Learn to dive in a day! This program allows individuals to experience scuba diving under direct instructor supervision in ideal conditions. Sunn Odyssey Divers is just such a place!
You’ll develop knowledge and skills through a performance-based learning sequence before graduating to an open-water expedition. We help make the first diving experience for vacationing non-divers memorable and incredible.
This non-certification course is $240 and includes the required equipment, a classroom lecture, and one confined-water and shallow boat dive. An additional dive is available for $75.

If you’re arriving by cruise ship, we’d be thrilled to show you our reef. For those that think you never have time to get certified! We have a course for you! The PADI Scuba Diver Certification can be done in just one day! Before you leave home, sign up and complete the PADI Elearner online Course! Get off the ship; jump in a taxi and get wet with skills in our pool; then off on the boat to two spectacular dives and ending the day with your PADI Scuba Diver Certification! What an accomplishment! Whether diving or snorkeling, you’ll enjoy our small and personalized dive operation. Typically, most ships arrive after the normally scheduled departure times on the island. For your convenience, we will change our departure times to fit your ship's schedule. Contact us to let us know which ship you’re on at the Freeport dock. We’ll ensure you enjoy a fantastic day and get you back to your ship in plenty of time for departure.
